Alumni Achievement Awards
Alumni Achievement Awards are presented each year to Augustana alumni who have made outstanding contributions to their fields of endeavor, their communities, and/or their churches. The recipients must be graduates of Augustana, excel in their careers, and exemplify one of the values of the University: Christian Faith, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community or Service. Normally, four alumni are selected each year for this award.

The Horizon Award
The Horizon Award is given to recognize young alumni who have quickly demonstrated outstanding vocational achievement, and have provided faithful service to their community and/or church. The recipients must have graduated from Augustana within the last 15 years, excel in their careers, and exemplify one of the values of the University: Christian Faith, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community or Service. Normally, one person will be selected each year to receive this award.
Nominations will be received up until April 1 each year, with the awards being presented the following fall during Viking Days weekend. The Alumni Council reviews all nominations and determines the final recipients.
Honorary Alumni Society
The Honorary Alumni Society recognizes those who are not Augustana University graduates, but have shown extraordinary dedication to Augustana's mission and core values of Christian, Liberal Arts, Excellence, Community and Service. Through sustained commitment to the university, an honorary alum has demonstrated the “gold standard” of engagement. This recognition aims to affirm the loyalty of its honorees and showcase our gratitude for their care, support and involvement in the university community.

Nominations will be received up until April 1 each year, with the awards being presented the following fall during Viking Days weekend. The Alumni Council reviews all nominations and sends their recommendations to the President's Council to determine final recipients.
