Spirit of Chicago Boat Cruise

Chicago-area alumni and friends gathered for a Lake Michigan boat cruise on June 6, 2010. Over 40 alumni and friends from all eras had the opportunity to connect with one another and to hear an update about the College from President Rob Oliver.


Augustana Sesquicentennial Commemoration Event

On June 5, 2010, we joined Augustana College, Rock Island, IL at Jefferson Prairie Lutheran Church in Poplar Grove, IL to commemorate the creation of the Augustana Synod in 1860. President Rob Oliver and President Steve Bahls of Augustana College, Rock Island, provided remarks.

Rochester Alumni Event

We were excited to host our first alumni event in the Rochester, MN area in May!  Alumni ranging from the class of 1948 to the class of 2003 joined us for an after work social.  It was a great event - we look forward to a return trip!

Sioux Falls Young Alumni Event

Graduates from recent years gathered at Tre Lounge in Sioux Falls on April 16, 2009.  Several Augustana faculty and staff members were our guests for the evening. Alumni enjoyed catching up with not only their classmates, but their favorite faculty members as well.

Twin Cities Young Alumni Event

Young alumni from the Twin Cities area gathered at “The Local” in downtown Minneapolis on December 2. President Rob Oliver shared news about Augustana’s construction projects, our stellar freshman class, and future events.

Washington DC Event - December, 2008

Washington DC alumni exchanged warm holiday greetings on December 9 at Founding Farmers restaurant in the nation’s capitol. Several “established” alumni met young alumni and recent grads who work on Capitol Hill. Plans for the South Dakota Society’s Inauguration Event on January 19 were also shared!

Ole the Viking vs. Bucky Badger

Augustana alumni from Wisconsin gathered to cheer on the Viking mens' basketball team in an exhibition game versus the Wisconsin Badgers.   Despite an 81-57 loss, President Rob Oliver deemed the game a victory in this battle against a giant.
