Tires Tires Tires receives award for good deeds

Tires Tires Tires has received a national humanitarian award for its contributions to a program that provides vehicles to families in need of transportation and to another effort to support troops and their families.

The tire dealer, which has shops in Sioux Falls and Sioux City, was recognized by Tire Business magazine during a trade show in Las Vegas.

Owners Dan and Dale Nothdurft support Angel Cars in Sioux Falls and Support Siouxland Soldiers in Sioux City.

With Angel Cars, Tires Tires Tires inspects cars that are donated to Sioux Empire Wheels to Work and provides repairs at no cost. More than 20 families have received cars just this fall, with the dealership donating thousands of dollars in repairs, Tire Business said in a news release.

Tire Business provided a $2,500 donation with the humanitarian award, and Tires Tires Tires chose Wheels to Work as the recipient.

"For us, it is just rewarding to know that the work we do helps others succeed, allows people to get to work, and provides dependable transportation for families in our communities," Dan Nothdurft said. "Our communities support us, and we know it is the right thing to do to give back them.”
